Let’s Talk: What’s your Music Superstition?

Evening, folks. So this convo cropped up during on our discussions with live music gigs returning my and someone just mentioned music superstitions.

Odd enough topic of conversation, it got us all thinking.

One for me that I heard a wee while ago when I was a child, was never to listen to the band the same day you were expected to go see them live in concert. I don’t know how or why it was a thing, but it always often resulted in that day going wrong in some way or another.

To this day, I’ve always stuck by it. It always seemed unnatural to listen to their recorded network of songs when I was set to view it live the following night. But hey, that’s just me and the weird and wonderful morals of luck and anxiety.

    Ok. So whenever I hear Paul Carrack, I must change the channel. I swear it makes my back hurt. And the rest of my day is doomed. I’m even afraid to type his name. Fingers cross that there will not be impending doom.

        Hahah fantastic. Sometimes the things that make no sense to us make all the sense in the world to others ☺️ I totally get why you do it – it’s a “thing” that’s been imbedded in you and you can’t shake it! I love that, you’ve certainly the top prize for “best music superstition.”

    To wake with an earworm means that I must listen to that song within the hour – whether it’s a favourite or detested…

      Yea absolutely. That’s a common one. More often than not, it’s a song that I’m not all that familiar with .. despite it being stuck in my head. Which is even more frustrating as I don’t know what to listen to! #firstworldearwormproblems
