Today marked the first day of the inaugural rock festival for the UK, Download. Not only that, but it marked the first full-blown Download festival in three years. The mud-drenched festival climaxed with Slipknot, Tool and Def Leppard. This year, we have esteemed headliners of Kiss, Iron Maiden and Biffy Clyro marking the festivities this weekend – with many festival-goers holding out hope that the clouds won’t open up again for this weekend.
For Friday’s music, we had the likes of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Skindred, A Day To Remember and Electric Wizard take to the amplitude of stages at Donington Park today, with the weather holding off for leaks of sunshine here or there. You can catch the festival glimpses from today’s day from their official Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/downloadfest/?hl=en
With the Glastonbury line up announced fairly recently – which is set to take place later on this month – who are you excited to see most?
