What are your most looking forward to in music this year?

As we approach the half way mark on a year that has been rife with uncertainty, animosity and yet, great music from all walks of Earth, what are you most looking forward to in the coming summer, and approaching autumn? We have a lot of major albums and festival gossip coming up this year – and so what you looking forward to the most?

I’m excited to hear new Imagine Dragons this year. They have been fairly quiet throughout the lockdown period and I’m excited to hear some quality anthems from the group. It’s been too long! I have to say this because it’s the truth, but I’m also excited for new Coldplay. I was pleasantly surprised over the catchy rhythms of Higher Power, and the teasing trailer they have given us to gloss over seems to feature different elements of Coldplay through the years. To the more grounded tones of Rush of Blood to the Head and back to the eutrophic electronics of chart-dominant A Head Full of Dreams, hopefully we’ll hear some original sounds cropping up in their 11th studio album attempt.

What are you looking forward to? LET ME KNOW!

For other bands, Rival Sons are coming to town as is Julian Lage, a particularly talented jazz guitarist. We’re planning to go to both of those shows.

For my band, the record is almost done and the gigs have been coming in. After a year and half of not playing out, it’s feels awesome to get out and play for people again.

Oh wow yeah! I bet that’s a huge good feeling for you and the lads in the band. It’s an itch that couldn’t be scratched. But now, it can be scratched forever with the return of live music. Oh, I’ll be sure to check out Rival Sons; I haven’t heard of them. Hopefully they’ll become one of my new favourites.

Oh nice nice! The esteemed nature of Coachella Valley in its all glory! Safe to say I’m jealous with that one. And the Black Crowes aswell. Certainly one to tick off the bucket list.

As we’ve both discussed previously, I’m a bit disappointed by the latest offering by my #1 favorite band twenty one pilots, though I love the two singles so far. I was a bit underwhelmed by “Higher Power” by another of my favorite bands Coldplay, but am looking forward to their new album. My favorite artist Two Feet has already been teasing about releasing a new album, on the heels of his latest one that just dropped in April. Other than that, I can’t say I’m looking forward to anything else in particular. Many of the artists & bands I follow seem to cranking out new music at a dizzying pace, which will keep me mighty busy.

Yeah I can’t seem to come up as we come into the final stretch of Summer. I feel like Autumn will be a blinder for music.
