Experimental NY hard act deliver a 11-minute barrage that’s every bit powerful as it is unique.
When I first fell into the world of YHWH Nailgun, my expectations were pretty much nill. But whatever I was anticipating, it certainly wasn’t this. A 10-track wonder that is so dense with musical ideas, Magazine tops my list just for how much it intrigued me.
A sound bite of the experimental underground from The Big Apple, YHWH Nailgun have hammered home what it takes to make a sound completely your own. The spacial humdrums of Stillness Blues and haunted-house backdrop Ghost of Love stride ahead with fan adoration right out the gate. While it may or may not be your thing, you can’t deny it’s anything you’ve ever heard before.
