Having dropped their seventh album – resulting in the bands’ first Number One – earlier this year, the genre-defining St Albans collective are now taking it into some of the biggest arenas in the country, all culminating to a sweaty conclusion at a 90,000 cap Wembley Arena on the 17th Feb – the bands’ largest anything to date.

It’s not news that Enter Shikari’s live showings are their bread-to-butter – an hypnotic display of both light and sound, no other outfit in the business can really come close to in terms of what the brand are brewing up on the live scene.

When Rou and co told us that they had very much gone all out for this tour, we took it with a pinch of salt. We half-expected it to be marketing talk advised by their closest, simply as a means to buff up the numbers, maxing out arena commission. But when you see the the outlandish laser displays, the towering graphics and the immersive visuals they splashed the budget on, you realise it wasn’t talk at all.

Similar to the bands’ electronic synth-sleuthing interspersed with heavy riffages and cathartic (system…) meltdowns, they never do things by halves. This tour was -expectedly – no different. Pacing in 6 newbies – including standouts Bloodshot and It Hurts – into a mega 26-track setlist, every cardinal era of Shikari was on full display in the esteemed hall of fame. From the rapturous triple-header of Enter Shikari, and Mothership and Solidarity, to the revamped remix of Anaesthetist to thumping Sssnakepit, with feel-good Satellites* * getting a worthy mention, aswell as recent single Losing My Grip also appearing with Fever 333’s Jason Aalon Butler performing his verse: you barely have any time to breathe and catch your thoughts.

Along with new contenders, we also saw some of the old classics getting their fair spin after a stint remaining off shows for awhile. Torn Apart was swept in for the first time since 2019 in Melbourne, while mosh-favourite The Jester had its rotation back into tour since 2018 in Brighton.

Shikari’s well-known breath of respite came with a solo acoustic showing from Rou covering the pressure’s on, Juggernauts and Gap in the Fence before he took a heightened hike through the arena seating grounds on The Sights while Rory, Chris and Rob looked on in the centre of standing.

The last time the Enter Shikari boys were here, was in May of 2022 heralding a sold-out spot at Rock City at 2,000. Now, they return two years later, to an arena boasting 10,000+ – signifying that they really are one of the biggest names in music right now.
