Council Juice: One hot-take to music, culture and community.
Due to their smoothing joints in the traditional scope of jazz rap, The Silhouettes Project has fast become a collaboration for the ages. An unforgiving blueprint of creativity in the cultural shadows of East London and beyond, it is free-form jazz at its best and music community at its greatest. To many, it is the very short answer of how music saved me.
A musical collective for the ages, The Silhouettes Project is an unforgiving blueprint of creativity in a cultural shadow of East London.
What started out as Root 73 – a non-profit arts organisation – has become something so much bigger. A self-sustaining ecosystem in on itself, the turned-recording studio, record label and apprenticeship scheme has shed light on the dark among our most brightest and exciting talents not just in the crevices of East London but, amongst the UK too.
The collectives’ Hackney studio has become a sustaining life machine bringing about some of the most innovative material to date from their debut beauty of The Silhouettes Project Vol.1.
The group are back with Council Juice, accompanied by KinKai, Pedro Retro, Whoeva? and masterminded by Jaden Osei-Bonsu (Eerf Evil), Asher Korner (Asher Kosher).
Get these guys on your radar. FFO: Ezra Collective, Lyrical Lemonade.
