Getting Back Together for Live Music

Evening folks. Another evening update for you all on here. We just had our first Zoom meeting as a band for the first time in about 8 months and it felt like we were finally getting back together for the love of live music. It honestly felt the most natural thing we’d ever done – like we’ve been doing it all our lives. It felt like a sign of things to come, normality returning and the strength of unity with live music and their corresponding bands. And I can’t wait for it.

We’ve also got some new music coming out tomorrow reading for the weekend ramblings, so I’ll be making sure to be placing my unworthy opinions on a lot of artists’ work over the weekend.

So, stay tuned for that. Not a lot from me today, folks. It’s been a busy week and we’ve got one day left before we’re free for the weekend. Let’s have a good one!

The thing that amazed me the most in these 2 years of COVID was not seeing any musicians say their ideas. No rebels, no speeches against the system, even Bono Vox and Sting, who have always fought for freedom, mute. All the famous musicians shut up and I no longer have any respect for them because they all sold out and I won’t listen to them anymore.

Yeah, that’s certainly true. Keeping themselves to themselves a lot these days. You never see any freedom speech or active artists who are actively preaching to the choir and spurring on a desire to beat the system. Of course, you have the odd artist who supports the working class and downvotes the system a lot – Enter Shikari, IDLES etc. But nothing MAJOR enough to hit the headlines or make some colossal impact. Shame really. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, my friend!
